We work out of Charlton, 20 miles away — roughly half an hour. That matters mostly for the unglamorous parts: getting back out for a warranty call, or being on site when the inspector is.

The three we see most often here: original wood units that swell shut in July and let daylight through in January; hinge screws pulled out of soft jamb material, taking the door out of alignment; and a rotted sill and threshold under a door that was never flashed properly. Plan on one working day, and we never leave an opening unsecured overnight. Worcester County weather does move schedules — wet spring seasons followed by dry, hot stretches that move wood trim is the usual reason — so we build a weather margin into the date we give you rather than promising one we cannot hold.
