Siding Contractor in Medway, MA

Medway (02053) is in Norfolk County, roughly 29 miles east of our Charlton shop. It is the 42nd closest of the 109 towns we serve, and 25 miles from the coast. The towns next to it are Millis (3 mi), Norfolk (4 mi), Franklin (4 mi), Holliston (4 mi), Bellingham (6 mi). From the shop it is 39 road miles to the centre of Medway, about 56 minutes without traffic, mostly on I-90, I-495 and Route 20.

Inland, the damage comes from freeze-thaw. Water gets into a seam, freezes, expands and opens the joint a little further, night after night through the winter. The centre of Medway sits about 192 feet above sea level, 693 feet lower than our shop. Medway, 25 miles from salt water, is in that group.

The Census counts 4,768 homes in Medway. The typical one was built in 1976, which makes Medway's housing the 78th oldest of the 109 towns we serve; 32% went up before 1960 and 54% before 1980. 86% are lived in by their owners, and 81% are single-family houses. A stock this mixed means no two quotes start the same way: an older house may be hiding asbestos-cement shingles or lead paint under its current siding, while a newer one is usually down to its original builder-grade materials.

Around Medway, Medfield sits closest to the coast at 20 miles and Hopedale farthest at 33; Hopedale is the nearest of them to our shop (22 mi) and Medfield the farthest (34 mi). Holliston and Milford and Hopedale and Sherborn are across the line in Middlesex and Worcester County. Hopedale has the oldest housing of them (typical 1959) and Franklin the newest (1985).
