Siding Contractor in Weston, MA

Weston (02493) is in Middlesex County, about 38 miles northeast of our Charlton shop, a run our crews make regularly. It is the 67th closest of the 109 towns we serve, and 18 miles from the coast. The towns next to it are Wayland (3 mi), Waltham (4 mi), Lincoln (4 mi), Wellesley (5 mi), Newton (5 mi). From the shop it is 42 road miles to the centre of Weston, about 60 minutes without traffic, mostly on I-90, Route 20 and Route 27.

Inland, the damage comes from freeze-thaw. Water gets into a seam, freezes, expands and opens the joint a little further, night after night through the winter. The centre of Weston sits about 182 feet above sea level, 703 feet lower than our shop. Weston, 18 miles from salt water, is in that group.

The Census counts 3,969 homes in Weston. The typical one was built in 1964, which makes Weston's housing the 34th oldest of the 109 towns we serve; 45% went up before 1960 and 65% before 1980. 88% are lived in by their owners, and 88% are single-family houses. With most of the housing built before 1980, many of these walls are on their second or third exterior, and lead-safe work practices matter: federal EPA rules apply to disturbing paint on homes built before 1978.

Around Weston, Watertown sits closest to the coast at 12 miles and Sudbury farthest at 23; Natick is the nearest of them to our shop (33 mi) and Watertown the farthest (43 mi). Wellesley is across the line in Norfolk County. Newton has the oldest housing of them (typical 1942) and Sudbury the newest (1977).
